Would you like to join one of our Creative Communities groups as a volunteer?

We are always looking for non-judgmental, committed, and creative volunteers to support our groups.

Volunteers with Creative Communities come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of experiences, but all share a drive for making a difference in the lives of the people we work with.

Why Volunteer?

Gain valuable experience in therapeutic arts, performance and events

At Creative Communities, we believe in the power that the arts hold to improve our mental health and well-being. We hugely value the importance of joining a community and having the opportunity to express your creativity!

Develop skillsets

Volunteering with us will help you develop valuable interpersonal and relationship building skills, in addition to growing your confidence through performing, facilitation and support. You will also have the opportunity to receive training to further develop a variety of different skills.

Join a supportive team

At Creative Communities, you will be joining a supportive, non-judgemental team of creatives, and will receive ongoing support from staff to help you feel safe, held and confident.

Recruitment

Applications are open all year round! Once we have received your application, we’ll get in contact with you to discuss the next steps.

If you’re successful, you’ll join our team where you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people, be part of a community, and receive our comprehensive volunteer training. We run our training quarterly as we believe it’s important that our volunteers feel equipped with the skills they need to support the people that use our service.

WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS SAY

Volunteering with the Bristol Recovery Orchestra is such an unique experience. I have learned so much about the teamwork, cooperation and dedication it takes to put something like this together. AND, I get to play alongside some of the most incredibly talented musicians. There is nowhere else in the world, that I know of that can compare.
Rising Voices is such an enriching place that embodies acceptance, creativity and fun at the heart of what it does. The space created by Sophie and the team is one of genuine joy valued by all that attend. I come in with the weight of life on my shoulders and leave connected, enriched and enlivened each time. Such a special place and community.
