Trinity Move on Music is a progression from our Beginners Music group, designed for those ready to build on their existing skills. This group offers the chance to develop confidence with beginner instruments, connect with others who have shared similar experiences, and enjoy music-making in a relaxed, judgment-free space.
Group members will have the opportunity to develop their musical skills, write and record their own music, and have the option to perform at the Creative Communities Shows. Performing is completely optional—but it can be a great way to build confidence and boost self-esteem.
This group is run in partnership with Trinity, giving members access to professional facilities, including both of their studios. There is also a chill-out space with tea and coffee available, providing a supportive and inspiring environment.
Who can join our groups?
Our groups are open to anyone with lived experience of drug or alcohol use—whether that’s recent or from 30 years ago. We also welcome people who work or volunteer in drug and alcohol services to join Bristol Recovery Orchestra or Rising Voices Choir, as we know it benefits staff mental health and working practice.

The Trinity Move On Music Group is a time in my week that I look forward to. It has given me confidence and makes me feel a sense of achievement and joy. Apart from it being great to learn a new instrument from scratch, which I never imagined I could, it is so much more fun to play music with other people and not at home alone.
